Lesson 14
Volume of Right Prisms
Let’s look at volumes of prisms.
Problem 1
- Select all the prisms.
- For each prism, shade one of its bases.
Problem 2
The volume of both of these trapezoidal prisms is 24 cubic units. Their heights are 6 and 8 units, as labeled. What is the area of a trapezoidal base of each prism?
![Two prisms. The first has a trapezoid for a base and a height of 6. The second has a trapezoid base and a height of 8.](https://cms-im.s3.amazonaws.com/jPd2rb6iKYpLFubnQ2LpVsBA?response-content-disposition=inline%3B%20filename%3D%227-7.7.newPP_Image_9pqr.png%22%3B%20filename%2A%3DUTF-8%27%277-7.7.newPP_Image_9pqr.png&response-content-type=image%2Fpng&X-Amz-Algorithm=AWS4-HMAC-SHA256&X-Amz-Credential=AKIAXQCCIHWF3XOEFOW4%2F20240630%2Fus-east-1%2Fs3%2Faws4_request&X-Amz-Date=20240630T142633Z&X-Amz-Expires=604800&X-Amz-SignedHeaders=host&X-Amz-Signature=c4e4ba21fcb5c36108b8547e082a2c2c315c2bf721894f01b3d2f7cd4bff9134)
Problem 3
Two angles are complementary. One has a measure of 19 degrees. What is the measure of the other?
Problem 4
Two angles are supplementary. One has a measure that is twice as large as the other. Find the two angle measures.
Problem 5
Match each expression in the first list with an equivalent expression from the second list.
